The Downspout Trellis (ST229) attaches directly to a gutter pipe using self-drilling screws and stainless cable ties for added stability. Mounting the trellis will not damage the downspout. The precision-fit screws create small, sealed holes that preserve the pipe’s integrity while securing the trellis in place. The slim black mesh blends naturally against most downspouts, allowing the greenery to take center stage. Gardeners who prefer a lighter look often request a white version, but many find that the dark mesh nearly disappears once plants begin to climb.
